I’m a noob to DMX and I DJ small parties. Although expensive, it seemed like a logical choice for what I needed. I didn’t want to have to lug around a laptop with my DJ gear nor did I feel like I have the time to learn DMX programming and also still need to spend money on a lighting controller. I came to the conclusion that ~$500 more bucks was worth my time and sanity. This little unit is plug and play. I only have a strobe and a light bar but I plan to add a couple more lights. It would be nice if the unit itself had controls but the connectivity via the webpage works seamlessly. I was actually surprised at how well it works and I’ve yet to experience any sort of bug while using it. You can literally just ask your bud to connect on their phone and control your lights for you without worry that they could even possibly screw anything up! I understand a lighting guy at a venue could offer a more professional show, but I was just trying to add some lights that react to the music and sometimes I’m not playing loud enough for a sound active mode to pick anything up. This works for exactly what I need and now when I walk into a bar with some dinky lights I think “if they just spent a quarter of the price of what they spent on other equipment, they’d pull in more people!” I’m able to set up audio, lights, and DJ gear in under 20 mins and it’s impressive. I personally think this gear will introduce DMX to a lot of musicians and venues and I hope this company continues to grow!
