I live in a city of 100k, which means unless I throw a house music or techno event... it doesn't exist. Being 90 minutes from a major city, hiring a lighting expert & rental is often not affordable for small 100-300 person shows.
So I own my own gear for my shows, and introducing Maestro took my light show from "basic dmx" to insane lighting show. Within 2 days of having the unit working, I was buying 4 moving beams and now am expanding my lighting options because of the production Maestro offers.
Whats a real win for me, is I use most of my event rental gear in my Twitch live stream studio. So now, Maestro has given me a full DMX show with 10 uplights, 4 moving heads, haze and soon to be additional upgrades. I stream for 4 - 5 hours twice a week, and this unit gives me a PERSONALIZED lighting tech as I can manually manipulate on the laptop beside me, or let it simply do its thing. I feel like I have a full lighting team, and the beautiful part is my cabling is permanently installed and I just pull the fixtures out for live shows, and Maestro has me mapped!
This unit also forced me to learn more about understanding DMX, and I came into this with 0 knowledge and now can describe channels and addressing.
