Warranty Policy — Standard & Extended Coverage

1. Warranty Overview

MaestroDMX products include a 1-Year Standard Warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. Customers may optionally purchase an Extended Warranty, which adds two (2) additional years of coverage for a total of three (3) years from the original purchase date.

This Warranty Policy describes the terms, conditions, exclusions, and claim procedures for both the Standard Warranty and Extended Warranty.

2. Coverage Periods

  • Standard Warranty: 1 year from original purchase date

  • Extended Warranty (optional): adds +2 years (total 3 years)

  • Extended Warranty coverage begins immediately after the Standard Warranty expires

3. What Is Covered

Both the Standard and Extended Warranty cover defects in materials and workmanship, including:

  • Internal electronics

  • Microcontroller and processing hardware

  • LED drivers and signal-processing components

  • Power supply and internal connectors

  • Manufacturing defects

  • Failures under normal, intended use

If a defect is confirmed, Limbic Media will, at its sole discretion:

  • Repair the product or

  • Replace the product with a new or equivalent unit

4. What Is Not Covered

This warranty does not cover:

  • Physical damage (drops, impact, crushing)

  • Water or moisture exposure

  • Damage caused by improper installation or wiring

  • Insufficient surge protection

  • Cosmetic wear not affecting functionality

  • Unauthorized modification, disassembly, or repair

  • Damage from incompatible accessories

  • Abuse or operation outside intended conditions

  • Fire, flood, lightning, or other acts of God

  • Lost or stolen units

  • Damage caused by improper packaging during shipment to Limbic Media

5. Registration Requirement

Standard 1-Year Warranty

Coverage is automatic with the original proof of purchase.
Registration is optional, but recommended to streamline future support.

Extended Warranty

Extended Warranty coverage requires registration within 30 days of purchase. Customers must provide:

  • Serial number

  • Proof of MaestroDMX purchase

  • Proof of Extended Warranty purchase

  • Contact information

Unregistered Extended Warranties may be denied.

6. How to Make a Warranty Claim

To initiate a claim:

  1. Visit the MaestroDMX Support Portal

  2. Submit a warranty request

  3. Include serial number and proof of purchase

  4. Upload photos or videos if requested

  5. Wait for evaluation and RMA instructions

Once approved, an RMA number will be issued.

7. Shipping Policy for Warranty Claims

Limbic Media covers:

  • Inbound shipping to our service location

  • Outbound shipping back to the customer

Customers must properly package their product. Damage caused by inadequate packaging may void the warranty.

8. Replacement Policy

If repair is not possible, Limbic Media may replace the unit with either:

  • A brand-new unit

  • A refurbished or equivalent unit

  • A newer version if the original is discontinued

A replacement unit is covered under the remaining warranty period only.

9. Non-Transferability

This warranty applies only to the original purchaser.
Warranty rights cannot be transferred, assigned, or resold.

10. Limitation of Liability

Limbic Media is not liable for:

  • Lost profits

  • Lost business or downtime

  • Consequential or incidental damages

  • Damages from third-party equipment

Liability is strictly limited to the original purchase price.

11. Governing Law

This Warranty Policy is governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada.

12. Changes to This Policy

Limbic Media may update this policy at any time. The latest version will always be available on this website.
